About the City Council
You can watch the upcoming council meeting live via Chelsea Community Cable (Comcast Channel 22) or Facebook Live. You can also find recordings of past meetings on the Chelsea Community Cable YouTube Channel. 

In accordance with the City Charter, the City Council is composed of eleven members, three of whom shall be Councilors At-Large and one District Councilor in each of the eight representative districts within the city. The City Council, as a legislative body, sets the policy-making agenda for the City through its official votes and resolutions, enactment of ordinances, appropriation orders and loan authorizations.

The Chelsea City Council typically meets two Mondays per month, except in July and August when they are in recess. Council meetings are televised on Chelsea Community Cable (Comcast Channel 22). Interpretation Services in Spanish are available at every Council meeting upon request.

Any members of the public who wish to provide a communication to the Chelsea City Council may communicate via this online form. Name and address must be included in order to be read during the meeting. Any communication needs to be submitted by 12:00 PM on the Wednesday preceding the meeting.
