Sensus Analytics Customer Portal

City of Chelsea water customers can now monitor their water usage in real time with the Sensus Analytics Customer Portal. Once you create an account, log in at any time to view current use and set alarms to be notified when usage exceeds thresholds.

What you need:

  • Copy of your water bill, showing account number and name
  • Valid email address
  • Sensus meter at your property. Buildings that still use an older meter style will not be able to access data via the portal. If you are unable to sign up your account, please contact the Chelsea Central Billing office at 617-466-4040 to schedule a meter replacement.

Sign Up Process:

  1. Visit https://my-chels.sensus-analytics.com/login.html#/signin
  2. Click on “Need to set up an account?” on the bottom of the page and provide an email address
  3. Sensus will send an email confirmation containing a link
  4. Click on the link contained in the confirmation email to access the signup page
  5. Enter the Account # associated with the account as well as your name as it appears on the bill and a password that uses numbers, symbols and both capital and lowercase letters

Setting Thresholds and Notifications

  1. Login to Sensus Analytics. On the left side menu, click “Settings” then “Usage Alerts”
  2. A new page will open to set alerts for the billing cycle, daily use, multi-day use and vacation.
  3. Click “Enabled” for the type of alert you want to receive.
  4. Enter the amount of water you want to be alerted for (cubic feet) and click “Save”. You average monthly (billing cycle) and daily use is shown for reference.
  5. Click on “Alert Recipients to add any addition phone numbers or emails accounts to receive the alert.
