Acceptable Trash
The following items are collected through regular trash as long as they are placed out correctly.
The following items will only be collected through the White Goods program. To dispose, residents must purchase a sticker at the Treasurer's Office at Chelsea City Hall Room #213. Sticker must be on item for pick up.
Acceptable Trash
The following items are collected through regular trash as long as they are placed out correctly.
- Household solid waste
- Tires (MAX 2, rims must be removed)
- Empty paint can (Latex only, must be dried out and opened up)
- Electronics (Other than computer monitors & Tv's)
- Lawn mowers & other motor devices (Remove gas and ail tanks)
- Gas grills (Remove propane tanks)
- Bikes
- Microwave
- Toasters
- Toilets
- Swing sets
- Doors
- Windows (If glass is broken, place in box)
- Carpet (Must be under 4Ft long, rolled up and tied)
- Furniture (Limited pick up, Max 2 items per week), such as:
- Dressers
- Couches
- Tables
- Chairs

- Computer monitors (Rest of computer is acceptable for trash)

- Hot water heaters / water tank
- White goods items not on the list
- Yard waste (Except during scheduled pick up days)
- Mattresses & Box springs
- Textiles (clothing, bedding, kitchen and bath towels, and footwear)
- Pipes
- Tree stumps
- Propane tanks
- Flammable items
- Explosives
- Compressed gases
- Fluorescent bulbs
- Non latex paint products
- Dirt
- Rock
- Cinderblocks
- Cement
- Any other construction debri materials
- Radiator or any other plumbing items
- Car bumpers
