Educational Resources

The Chelsea Department of Public Health collaborates with community-based organizations (CBO’s) to promote health education messaging.

Chelsea’s Department of Public Health monitors the health status of Chelsea residents and identifies emerging trends. Through the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), public health is able to look at the most urgent healthcare needs from the data and statistics about the health issues impacting Chelsea, to then develop a Community Health Improvement Plan to know which public health issues need to be addressed and how they should be addressed.

Mosquito-Borne Diseases

Mosquitoes can spread diseases that make you sick. In Massachusetts, mosquitoes can give you eastern equine encephalitis (EEE) virus or West Nile virus (WNV).

Proper Disposal of Medications & Sharps
Proper medication disposal and sharps, including needles, lancets and syringes is important as it reduces the chance of misuse of addictive medication, such as opioids. By eliminating unwanted medication and sharps from your home, you are helping to keep your family and our community safe.
