Joint Sub-committee for School Committee Vacancies
A joint sub-committee between the Chelsea City Council and the Chelsea School Committee has been convened to discuss and select candidates to fill the School Committee seat vacancies for District 4 and District 5.
Candidate Requirements
Interested candidates for the vacancies in District 4 and District 5 must be Chelsea residents. Any candidate for District 4 must be a registered voter in District 4, and any candidate for District 5 must be a registered voter in District 5. Candidates must not be convicted of a felony. Candidates must meet any additional charter or state law requirements.
Application Requirements
Interested applicants must submit a resume and letter of interest in addition to three letters of recommendation from non-elected officials. Applicants must be able to pass a background check. Lastly, applicants must be able to attend the joint sub-committee meeting in City Hall on Monday, February 7, at 7:00 p.m.
