Lieutenant William J. Dana
Lieutenant William Dana started his career in law enforcement in March of 1992 at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell Police Department. On September 28th, 1993 he was hired by his home town of Everett and worked as a patrolman there until August 28th, 1995 when he was hired by the City of Chelsea. As a patrolman in Chelsea he has served in the Anti-Crime Unit, the Crisis Response Team, and as a defensive tactics instructor.
On February 10th, 2003 he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and was assigned to the Daywatch in the Patrol Division. In February of 2005 he was assigned as the Night Detective Supervisor in the Criminal Investigation Division. On November 19th, 2007 he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and will serve as a Watch Commander (OIC) in the Patrol Division under the Command of Captain David Batchelor.
Lieutenant William Dana is a graduate of Everett High School and holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Curry College. He has also earned an Honorable Discharge from the United States Marine Corps. (1984-1988).
