Tuesday – State Police Detectives assigned to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office and Chelsea Police Detectives are investigating an afternoon shooting that left a 29 year old Chelsea resident dead. Chelsea Police responded to a 12:26 PM report of a gunshot victim inside a housing complex unit at 230 Central Ave. Officers arrived with emergency medical personnel and administered aid to the male victim who was shot multiple times. The victim whose name is not being released was pronounced dead at Massachusetts General Hospital a short time later. Investigators are interviewing witnesses to determine the circumstances that led to the shooting and to help identify the perpetrator.
