Police Arrest Fifteen in “John Law” Sweep


Tuesday- In an ongoing effort to eradicate prostitution in Chelsea, the Chelsea Police Department conducted a focused operation on Tuesday evening May 25th. As part the on-going “Operation EPIC” (Eliminate Prostitution in Chelsea), the department utilized undercover officers in targeting “Johns”.  As a result, fifteen arrests were made. According to Chief Brian A. Kyes, “The Chelsea Police Department continues to conduct these operations and targets not only the prostitutes but also their customer base or John’s” He added, “Our officers have prioritized focused enforcement on these types of crimes that deteriorate the quality of life for Chelsea residents and local businesses”.
