(CHELSEA) – The Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association (MCOPA) have once again joined forces with the Jimmy Fund to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients no and in the future. The MCOPA have played an essential role for the Jimmy Fund over the past 56 years, and continue to support the cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston through the 2009 Jimmy Fund Canister Drive. “Jimmy Fund canisters will be on display in our local businesses throughout the City of Chelsea from now throughout December,” said Chief Kyes. “We have always
relied on the generosity of the businesses and the residents of the City of Chelsea to make our fundraising drive for the fight against cancer a success each and every year.” Located on countertops across the city, the canisters offer the stores’ patrons an opportunity to join the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police in their quest to raise more than $200,000 for the Jimmy Fund in the coming months.
