Police Investigating Bomb Threat at Chelsea High School

Chelsea— Chelsea Police are investigating a reported bomb threat today at Chelsea High School. School officials notified police this morning of an anonymous voice message left on a recorded phone line at the school. The message indicated a bomb threat to the school while school was in session today.  Based on that information, Chelsea school officials dismissed students at the school without incident.  
 Chelsea Police K9’s assisted by other area police department K9’s conducted a thorough search of the school and decaled the school safe at 1230 PM.
Investigators are stating that the call did not originate from Chelsea and that they are working with another police agency in continuing the investigation.
Chelsea residents are reminded they can provide information anonymously to the Police Department by  calling the 24 hr Crime Stoppers TIP line at 617-466-4880 or  texting the word Chelsea and then their message to tip411 (847411) from their cell phone. Anonymous web tips can also be submitted right from the Police Departments website at www.chelseapolice.com or by downloading the free MyPD application available for Iphone and Android Smartphone’s.
