Chelsea Police Arrest Two in Business Break
Chelsea- 12/21/09. Chelsea Police Officers responded to 12 Fourth Street, on a report of a break and entering of a local business early Monday morning, making two arrests on scene. The first responding officer observed three male individuals all holding instruments believed to be used in the commission of the crime in the entryway attempting to move a safe. Upon seeing the officer two suspects fled into the building while the officer was able to arrest one suspect at the doorway. Chelsea officers immediately controlled the perimeter of the building and conducted a search where they found a second suspect hiding in the basement and placed him under arrest. A third
suspect was able to escape.
The officers were able to determine that the individuals also broke into a business located at 317 Broadway (Milliam Travel) where the officers witnessed the inside of the establishment ransacked. Items taken from that location including; computer equipment and assorted jewelry where found outside the building.
Arrested on scene where Daniel Suloff age 39 and Carlos Rodriguez age 20 both from Chelsea, each were charged with multiple counts of Breaking and Entering and Receiving Stolen Property. The Chelsea Police Department is actively seeking the third individual involved in this crime.
