On Saturday evening Chelsea Police Officers were approached by a distraught female who stated that she was just held against her will and robbed by three females at a Hawthorne Street apartment. The victim told officers while in Bellingham Square she was lured by one suspect, who claimed to be aiding her to find public transportation back to her Swampscott home. She was instead led to the Hawthorne Street apartment. Once inside the apartment, the victim claimed she was forced by three females, by threat of “knife” to sit in a chair. She was at that time ordered to give the assailants her cash, jewelry and ATM card with access code. She states that one suspect did leave the apartment and attempted to use her ATM card at a local bank,
but was unable to withdraw any money. After a prolonged time in the apartment the victim was eventually able to escape and immediately sought assistance from police. Chelsea Officers responded back to the Hawthorne Street apartment and arrested three individuals, charging each with; Kidnapping, Armed Robbery and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. All three listed suspects will be arraigned on those charges Monday June 15th in Chelsea District Court.
