Walk down the streets of Chelsea MA. and if your lucky, you just might catch a glimpse of City Councillor, Calvin T. Brown, embracing a community member as he expresses deep concern for his fellow citizen. If you are a member of the Chelsea community, Calvin will most likely recognize your face and next make his way over to ask what kind of day you are having.
Last fall, Calvin T. Brown was elected to his City Council as a Councillor At-Large this past fall after serving eight years as a district councilor. Councillor Brown has pledge to continue to advocate for the interests of the entire City. Calvin is committed to providing constituent services, promoting responsible approach to city spending and promoting policies based on open dialogue and consensus building.
Councillor Brown is currently a member of serveral City Council Committees (Public Works, Public Safety, Inter-Governmental Affairs, Chairman and Labor Relations and Collective Bargaining,). Councillor Brown received his Associate in Science Degree from Bunker Hill Community College. As a husband, father, and 22 year resident of Chelsea, Calvin ia a proven leader who will fight for the resident at city hall. Calvin and his family, are proud of their community and continue to make better for all those that call Chelsea home.
Councillor Brown is a member and sits on the Deacon Board at the Zion Church Ministries; and former President of the Parent's Teachers Organization at the Sokolowski school. Calvin seems to possess an limitless passion to help build a better community for his peers.
