Q:      How may I obtain a copy of a vital record a: birth, death, marriage license?
A:      Certified copies of birth, death, and marriage records may be obtained from the Office of the City Clerk in person,
        during regular business hours or by mail.  The fee for a certified copy of a vital record is $10.00.

Q:      Where can my child obtain a work permit?
A:      Work permits for children, ages 14 thru 17, may be obtained at City Hall from the School Depatment - Business Office    room 110 telephone 617466-4456.

Q:      What is the cost to obatin a dog license?
A:      The cost for a Male/ SpayedFemale is $15.00.  The cost for Non-Spayed is $20.00.

Q:      Whom should I call about streetlight out in my neighborhood?
A:      Contact the Rupulic Electric 1-800-544-4876.

Q:      I need a tree cut down.  Who can help me?
A:      If the tree is on City property, please call the Public Works department 617-466-4200.  If the tree is on private               property, the property owner should contact a tree service company.

Q:      I need to report potholes in the city.  What do I do?
A:      Call the Chelsea Department of Public Works at 617-466-4200.

Q:      I recently moved into the area.  When is my reqular garbage pick-up and bulk item pick-up?
A:      Contact the Department of Public Works at 617-466-4200 to find out the schudule in your area.

Q:      Whom do I call to report persistent gang activity?
A:      Call the Chelsea Police Department 617- 660- 1535 or 911.

Q:      I noticed someone dumping garbage in a vacant lot in my neighborhood.  Whom should I call about                 this?
A:      Call the Department of Public Works 617-466-4200 please take as much information as possible and repor it to police     also.

Q:      Where can I go to pay my parking tickets?
A:      City Hall Treasure Department is located at 500 Broadway room 213.  You can also call   617-466-4240.

Q:      I have a complaint about a business operating in Chelsea.  What should I do?
A:      Contact the Consumer Affairs Department at 617-973-8700 or www.mass.gov/consumer.

Q:      There's an abandoned vechicle on my street.  How do I get it removed?
A:      Get the name, model, year, color, and license plate number from the vechicle if possible.  Make a note of the street    address and / or the nearest cross street where the vechicle is located.  Alert the police at 617 466-4812.
