Become An Instructor
Teaching for Chelsea Community Schools can be a wonderful opportunity for you, as well as the Chelsea Community. If you have a course idea, we would love to hear it. A teaching degree is not necessary.
Become A Volunteer
Want to make a difference in your community? CCS invites you to volunteer in all aspects of our program – especially as a coach or assistant coach for youth sports. Teens are welcome to apply as assistant coaches and teachers to any of our classes. Positions are also available on our administrative staff. Volunteer at CCS, and help shape Chelsea’s future!
Advisory Board members are residents and professionals who oversee all the actions of our program. Advisory Board members promote accessibility of public school facilities to the community, and advise the CCS staff on developing quality programs that meet the needs and interests of Chelsea residents. The Board collaborates with teachers, principals, parents, and community organizations to ensure a successful program.
CCS is also seeking one high school junior and one high school senior from the Chelsea community to be a part of our Advisory Board. As a student advisory board member, you will work side-by-side with numerous community leaders, school and college administrators and educational leaders. You will learn how to shape, govern and manage a community organization while providing our Board with your valued opinions on community issues.
To become a student representative on the Advisory Board you must be: • a high school junior or senior • dedicated and committed to our goals • creative • willing to attend one Advisory Board meeting a month. Meetings are one hour long on the second Tuesday of each month from 5:30p.m. to 6:30p.m. at the library in the Williams Middle Schools.
Applications to become an Advisory Board Student Representative are available from your school's guidance counselor. |
